Experience Matters!

Councilman Brady served 10 terms on the Bowie City Council. He was first elected in April 1994 to represent District 6. In 2002, he was elected to one of the two newly created At-Large Council Seats. Prior to his election to the Council, he served two years on the Bowie Advisory Planning Board. This was a period of strong growth in the City. It was there that he developed his strong understanding of the development process, of the applicable Zoning Code, and of the needs and desires of the Citizens of Bowie.

Goals for Mayor Brady:

Strictly apply Smart Growth Principles on all development proposals
Support our Police Department
Make Bowie a regional leader of Environmental Stewardship (Green Bowie)
Continue efforts to increase the City’s autonomy with the ultimate goal being our own Zoning & Planning Authority
Work to implement an Arts & Entertainment District in Huntington
Responsibly maintain our parks and recreationial facilities
Advocate for construction of a new High School and improvements to existing schools
